Mike began his professional music career in the 1990's as a music editor for the restored and re-versioned classic children's
animation series "Casper the Friendly Ghost". This quickly led on to the composing of original music scores for a number of
other animation projects for clients, including. HIT entertainment and the BBC.

Kids programming has featured in Mike's work ever since with several long-term series commissions for Cbeebies (Little
Red Tractor and Little Monsters) and CITV (Merlin The Magical Puppy and the Golden Pulchinella award winning Billy).
Alongside these projects, Mike has also composed music for numerous Wildlife programs (including the Tale of Two
Pandas for Wildlife Showcase on BBC2) and drama productions (including Roman Mysteries for BBC1).

Mike is also part of the experimental music ensemble Longstone. Over the last 10 years or so, Longstone have released
six studio albums (as well as appearing on numerous compilations) and have been featured on the cover mount CDs of
Future Music magazine and The Wire.

They have also picked up airplay from John Peel and Mary Ann Hobbs on BBC Radio1, as well as Mixing It and Late Junction
on BBC Radio3. The many Longstone live performances have included the CMJ festival at the Lincoln Center in New York, the
Le Weekend festival in Stirling and the Cheltenham Jazz Festival.
